Toontrack Music releases EZplayer pro, the long awaited follow-up to the popular percussive MIDI engine EZplayer Free.

EZplayer pro is a VST, AU and RTAS plug in for Mac and PC with extended Map Wrapping capabilities between major drum sampler formats in the market. (FXpansion's BFD 1&2, Digidesign's Strike, NIs Battery, EZdrummer and Superior Drummer in addition to others).

The new multi track MIDI clip arranger offers time stretching, editing and multi layer arranging of MIDI files. EZplayer pro also has hardware learn features enabling live triggering of MIDI arrangements. The MIDI content in EZplayer pro is recorded by drummers David "Fingers" Haynes and Per Mikaelsson.

With the release of EZplayer pro Toontrack also starts working more closely with 3rd party MIDI content creators. First out is Groovemonkee that can be easily reached through the help menu in EZplayer pro.


For the price of $49 EZplayer pro is available through the Toontrack Music web shop as well as through Toontrack Music distributors and dealers. Toontrack also announces Toontrack solo update

In conjunction with releasing EZplayer pro Toontrack also releases a new version of Toontrack solo, which allows the user to run EZplayer pro together with any of the Toontrack samplers. The combination of Toontrack solo, EZplayer pro and EZdrummer or Superior Drummer gives the user an independent workstation that allows the shaping of new MIDI grooves within the EZplayer pro arranger which can later be exported to any sequencer.

Toontrack Music Announces EZplayer Pro At 2008 Frankfurt Musikmesse.

In conjunction with the 2008 Frankfurt Musikmesse Toontrack Music is announcing the next release in the Toontrack Software Tool series, EZplayer Pro. EZplayer Pro is an expanded version of Toontrack Musics EZplayer Free. It is also the next release in the Toontrack Software Tools series.

EZplayer Pro s a plug-in MIDI engine that lets you collect and organize all the MIDI on your hard drive. You can combine, put together and fuse drum and percussion MIDI clips from individual kit pieces to entire arrangements and audition them with your favorite drum sampler in EZplayer Pro before dragging them into your sequencer. EZplayer Pro includes map-wrappers between different drum sampler formats. These allow you to use the MIDI from one brand of drum sampler with a sampler from another brand as a sound source on the fly. The map-wrapper encompass all common brands in the market.

EZplayer Pro is organized as a multi track arranger where every track can be connected to a virtual instrument in the main sequencer and EZplayer Pro be utilized to audition different instruments in combination before you adjust them in detail. The tracks and the sub tracks with fills and variations can also be aligned to a hardware controller such as a keyboard or percussive controller to trigger MIDI sequences live. EZplayer Pro is, together with the Toontrack Music sampler lines and Toontracks own host application Toontrack Solo, part of a modular work environment designed and developed by Toontrack Music.
